Aim & Scope
Northern Clinics of Istanbul is a double-blind peer-reviewed, open-access, international journal published by the Health Directorate of Istanbul (HDI).
Six issues are released every year in February, April, June, August, October and December. The language of publication is English.
The aim of the journal is to publish high level clinical and experimental studies conducted in all medical branches, reviews comprising the latest research findings, reports on rare and educational cases, and letters to the editor.
The journal observes a double-blinded, peer-review process with external and independent reviewers in the evaluation and approval of manuscripts for publication. The target population of the journal includes specialists in all medical branches, academicians, and relevant health care professionals.
The journal welcomes papers from all fields of the medical sciences. External peer review of manuscripts is completed within 8-10 weeks of submission, and accepted papers are typically published within 6-8 months. The journal publishes editorials, original articles describing experimental and clinical research, reviews, case reports, letters to the editor, and other articles on current issues of medicine. NCI is published in print and online and distributed free of charge.
Northern Clinics of Istanbul is currently indexed with the Web of Science Emerging Sources Citation Index, PubMed, PubMed Central, Europe PubMed Central, EBSCO, the Cumulative Index to Nursing and Allied Health Literature (CINAHL), the Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ), the Turkiye Science Citation Index, the Turkish Medical Index of the Turkish Academic Network and Information Center (ULAKBIM), a research and development facility institute of the Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey (TUBITAK), ProQuest, Scopus, OUCI, SCILIT, CLIO, CEEAS and Hinari/Research4Life.
